Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I had personal goals and team goals. Personally, i wanted to be the best football player I could be in the film room and on the field. This included wanting to lead my team and conference in interceptions and pass deflections. Also, wanting to make an All-Conference list. For my team, I wanted us to achieve the ultimate goal at the 3-peat in the Celebration Bowl, which we did, and have one hell of a bond amongst my teammates.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Coaches and players would say I’m a hard worker and will compete with anybody. Also, that I bring a certain energy and leadership qualities that can effect the people around me in a positive way. Also, they will say that I’m a consistent individual that follows directions and does things the correct way.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
Studying film, I focus on my hips, feet and eyes. Seeing the field properly is essential in being your best self at the cornerback position. Getting in and out my breaks and using my knowledge of the game is something I look for too. I focus on my opponent movement once I know i’ve corrected my own mistakes.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My speed, ambition, knowledge and competitive nature is what separates me. Also, the fact that I’m willing to do whatever it takes to help my team succeed in any aspect of the game.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I was constantly training in the gym and on the field, doing many different drills just waiting for my chance to showcase myself at Pro Day. With the unfortunate pandemic, I’m currently doing in home workouts and still getting some time in on the field with other guys.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Off the field, my drive to succeed never ends so continuously watching film and communicating to create positive connections with others is important. On the field, practicing my craft and gaining more knowledge about different aspects of the game. My diligence, flexibility, and versatility applies to both on & off the field.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL/CFL or any other pro leagues?
Taking a chance on me is something you will never regret. You will be getting a hardworking man who won’t let anything get in the way of trying to be successful. My actions speak louder than my words and my positive energy will bring the best out of anyone.
