Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My main goal that was set for my final season was to prove that I was still THAT GUY. Coming out of High School I was one of the top athletes and went to play at Jacksonville State University where I played my freshman year and collected a good amount of stats, but as time went I didn’t get as many chances as new coaches were coming in. I ended up transferring to Clark Atlanta University where I set the goal to be one of the top Defensive Backs to play that season.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

For my coaches, I would think that they would say that “He was a leader and hard working player. He was always the one to be in the weight room in film study. He was the heart of our defense.” As for my teammates they would probably say “He was a big brother he made sure everyone was on the same page and he never looked the other way. We love playing with him and look up to him.”

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on tons of things since I play safety. My first key is the quarterback and how his read progression is. For example, is he a look where he’s going QB, is he reading coverages, this helps me make plays on the ball while in zone coverages. I also like to watch the Oline’s blocking schemes, it helps with my run fits. The last thing I look at is the receivers, I look for route combinations small details that tell when a receiver is a main target such as adjusting gloves, lazy stances, and more. I also look for the splits of the receivers they can tell a lot.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

The thing that separates me from other prospects is my IQ of the game. I don’t think there is anybody who knows more about the game than me. I’ve played both sides, offense, defense, and even all special teams. There’s also the physicality that I bring to the table. The last thing is the love and energy for the game that I bring with me.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My off season, I’ll be working on my speed and hips as a main focus training at my schools gym and field. I am still currently looking for a trainer, but I will be working on my own for now. I will be attending the HBCU Pigskin Bowl after the season is over.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field, I will bring communication, physicality, and play making sort of like a Tyrann Mathieu or Kenny Moore II type of guy. I know I’m undersized, but I play with a bigger heart than anybody else. Off the field, I am a social and fun person, I bring life to everyone around me. Also, I’m good for helping out anyone who needs the help, aka my teammates.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My final pitch to the pro leagues is simple, I’m just asking for a chance. You will get the best guy all around for football and off the field looks. I haven’t been in a system with all the necessary things to better me, but just imagine if I was. I am capable of anything.
