What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

This past season my goal as team captain was to set an example of what right looks like to our young guys in terms of work ethic, practice habits, and being a complete cadet-athlete. Personally, I wanted to gain more knowledge about the game every day to further expand my knowledge to my teammates and to become a better player overall. I believe I accomplished both of those goals this past season.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I think my coaches and teammates would describe me as a reliable and consistent player. I process things quickly and am very coachable as well as a coach on the field.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I am studying film, I typically focus on the other teams offense starting from the inside out. Once I understand what they want to do up front, I can then understand their overall scheme and move out to their skill players and study their tendencies, who they want to get the ball to, what they want to do on 3rd and short, medium, long, etc. Before I face an opponent, I study other player in my position to see how they reacted to certain things to see how I can implement the good things and eliminate the bad.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other prospects at my position is my multiplicity and knowledge of the game. I can play in the box, play man coverage, play a half field, play a post, play as an underneath zone defender, play other positions in different packages and understand our scheme holistically to have the flexibility to move around and help the team in whatever way I need to. Also, I’ve played several special teams positions throughout the entirety of my collegiate career and can help in any capacity from week to week.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My off-season plan is to continue to polish my technique, get faster and stronger, conditioned, as well as preparing to grasp different schemes so I can be ready to digest what an NFL playbook is going to throw at me.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I bring a unique experience with graduating from an Academy that includes discipline and work ethic. I will bring consistency and a hunger for growth as a man and as a player. I will bring a winning mentality and competitiveness that I intend to spread throughout a team’s locker room.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My final pitch to the NFL is that you will get a man that is dedicated to bringing the best out of himself and others, someone who demands excellence from himself and everyone associated with him. You’re going to get a player that constantly works to reach new highs that contributes to a winning culture. You’re getting a man of high character and who’s committed to the growth and development of himself and others.
