Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
Heading into my senior season, I was a 2x offensive MVP at my juco which was a goal of mine each year. Getting awards like player of the game, first team all-conference and athlete of the year are more accolades I am proud of. This season, I rushed for over 1000 yards which was a goal I set because I never before accomplished that in one season.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
My coaches would say I am a selfless player who would do anything to help the team win. If that means playing special teams, or contributing in other ways, I will do it. Mostly every coach that has coached me says that I am a very coachable player that listens to constructive criticism with a positive attitude.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film, I look at anything I could have done different to make the play more successful. I look at things like hitting a hole faster, being more patient to let blocking develop, or setting up a defender better. Anything I can take away from film, I am open to learn.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
One thing that separates me from other players at my position is my versatility. I am a RB that can be moved into the slot and run routes. I have great hands, so catching out of the backfield is another dimension of my game. I can catch/return punts and kicks as well.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
This offseason, I will get with my strength and conditioning coach and come up with a program that will best fit my needs. On breaks, I plan on getting with Ford Sports Performance to get work in while I’m home as well.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I feel I will bring a person with extreme work ethic and dedication to a team. Someone who is willing to do anything to get on the field and someone who is willing to keep putting in work even when things aren’t going my way. Also, a person with good character on and off the field.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Take a chance with me because I am a player that has succeeded at every program I have been in. My awards and accomplishments back up my claims. Coaches will also back that up and say that I am a hard worker that is also very talented and I don’t do a lot of talking, I just let my game talk.
