Carter Henderson: 2018 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Carter Henderson
School: Duquesne University
Position: Linebacker
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 221

Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

Our goals were to win the conference and win Duquesne’s first playoff game.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Fast, smart, instinctive.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I am currently training with Tim Cortazzo at FSQ Sports Facility. We are working on a lot of technique work and explosiveness.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

I look at big picture first by recognizing formations and seeing their favorite plays out of those formations. Then, I look at Lineman’s steps and contact, all of that together gives me an advantage.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My ability to react quickly and diagnose the play. My reactions put me in position to make a play faster than anyone else.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

It’s extremely hard to get all 11 guys on defense on the same page every snap. I have the ability to do that and I have proved that during my time at Duquesne.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

That my instincts mixed with my speed and quickness allow me to beat anybody to the play. That’s what these teams will get, a playmaker.
