Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
A goal I set in my final collegiate season was to be a leader on my team on and off the field. We had a younger team this year and I wanted to be somebody that they could rely on and look up to as a player, a leader, and a teammate. I also wanted to be an all-conference player and be somebody that other teams knew they had to look out for. I worked hard to be a game changer and set myself and my teammates up to make good plays.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I’m the type of player that can go in into a game, make big plays and be a momentum changer. They would say I’m someone who works hard, gives my all and holds myself and my teammates accountable while pushing us to be better.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
Details. I focus on little keys such as weight shifting or foot placement that could give me or my teammates an advantage against our opponent. I also focus in on formations and alignments to understand potential plays that could develop as well as how we can be successful against them.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I’m a versatile player who can play all across the D-line. Not only do I understand every position on the defensive line but I know where our strengths and weaknesses are and I can use that as an advantage come game time.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My offseason plan is to get after it in all aspects of training and make sure I’m doing the little things to prepare myself for big moments.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m a natural leader who always wants to improve my game in any way I can. I’m constantly looking to do more to push myself beyond my limits. I always want to win, so whether I’m playing 50 snaps or 0 I will give my all to any program to help us win.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to the NFL or any other pro league is this: I am a versatile player, a natural leader, and someone who understands the game of football. With those three things I can be an all around addition to any team that’s looking for someone to make a positive difference for their program. I want to win championships and I will do whatever it takes to help my team do that.
