Name: Brontae Harris
Q: In your final collegiate season, what goals did you accomplish this fall or set for this upcoming spring?
In my final season, my first and foremost goal was to secure another championship, which we were blessed to make happen. Another goal of mine was to return from injury and make an impact on our defense, in the conference, and across the nation.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I feel like my coaches and teammates would say I’m a leader first and foremost. After that, a hard worker, smart football player, and student of the game.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film, first I’m studying their “go-to” receiver. I’m learning his releases, alignments, likes and dislikes. After that, I apply our game plan and my techniques to how our coaches want to attack that particular opponent.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I feel like me being a true student of the game separates me from other prospects. I understand route concepts, and alignments. I can tell you what every other player on our defense has in any particular play, as well as tell you our weaknesses in our defense. I think me just knowing all around what’s going on around me helps me create tons of success on the field.
Q: What is your plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities, especially with the virus limiting pro days/training facilities/etc?
I am training at Xtreme Fitness with Kevin Brown for pro day April 9th.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
A true leader. One that will work hard, but also will help evolve guys around him. Off the field, a guy of character. Someone who is well spoken, and will portray an organizations name with respect.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL/CFL or any other professional leagues?
In drafting me, you’re getting a self motivated, grateful, blessed, all around young man. I appreciate anyone who has reached out and continues to, my work will speak for itself at the next level.
