Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I set many goals for my final collegiate season and I feel great about what I was able to accomplish over the past year. Some of my goals were more difficult than the others, but I set them to push me farther than I thought I could. I had a goal to start the first game of the season, and I did that. My team goal was to be undefeated, and win as many playoff games as possible. We ended 8-3 and played one playoff game, which I thought was well deserving as a group. My goal for my stats was 10 ints 5 tds 30 tackles, and I ended the season with 4 ints 1 td and 29 tackles. My other goals were all conference and the Harlon Hill, but without receiving those awards, I am proud of my accomplishments both as an individual player and with my team.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I believe I will be remembered as a player who works as hard as he can no matter the situation. A player who took the weight room reps as serious as the practice on the field. A man who sets a standard and believes in his team to prosper at that standard. A man who is able to hold the responsibilities that come with creating culture. A player who is fast, intelligent, dominant, and studious.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

One thing that helps me, after reviewing my technique, is analyzing the offensive schemes to determine their technique and their motive behind the technique with attention to the details. Pre-game film was the time for me to see where they line up in certain coverages to create specific space with certain schemes. This allowed me to be prepared during the game as I’m ready when I see it. Also, I prioritized understanding how an offensive play looks. For example, pulling guards can alert boot from qb trimming the we route tree. Watching film has been a huge part of my success this past year allowing me to play with control, knowledge, and the skills to make the plays needed for our team to be successful.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I’m confident in my top-tier speed and my football IQ when it comes to mastering my position. I’m confident and proud of my instincts and tactful ball skills that allow me to read and react from any position and towards any position. I am a playmaker and I value doing my job with the utmost amount of detail and precision. My determination and eagerness to continuing learning makes me very coachable and undoubtedly eager to compete. I play this game with a passion to be the best, as a player and as a team!

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

As of now, I am training with Eddie Hodges and his staff at Three Rivers Performance in La Crosse, WI, specializing in speed and strength training for upcoming events. It’s currently a 5-day work week (1 recovery, 1 speed and 3 strength) preparing me to compete with the best!

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I strive everyday to be the best possible version of myself – for myself and for those around me. I am a student of the game and will always continue to learn as much as possible. I will work harder than ever as I chase the victory I believe I was destined to achieve. I’ll always do my best for my team, on and off the field, as I’m a player and a man that anyone can rely on! To me, in this game, nothing is more important than working everyday towards our shared goal of winning. And that you will get out of me – a winner for and with your team.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

The lessons throughout my life have prepared me for where I am today. Over the last 17 years, I’ve had the opportunity to play this game. It’s a daily blessing and I’m forever thankful for what it has done for me. With persistence, determination, and my support systems keeping me grounded and diligent in my path – I’m confident in the man I am and my abilities as a player. As my excitement grows for this opportunity – I look forward to joining a new family and being a part of something extraordinary.
