Name: Braxton Kincade
School: Southeastern Oklahoma State University
Position: WR
Height: 6-1
Weight: 205
Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set high expectations my senior year. I had goals of being an all American WR with over 1200 yard’s receiving and to make the playoffs. I tore my meniscus day 3 of fall camp and decided I’d rather play through it than miss any time with my brothers. It was tough mentally and physically.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My teammates and coaches would say that I am a leader, that I am unselfish and will do whatever is needed in order for the team to succeed.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I watch film I watch my opponents. What are their tendencies? What are their techniques in each down and distance scenario? I also study the Defensive Coordinator also. What does he call and when? Where are the weaknesses in the secondary and how can I exploit them?
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
The thing that separates me is my football knowledge. The ability to call out every coverage pre snap or adjust in game time to see any post snap changes. I always create separation in man to man and make contested catches look like easy catches.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
The plan is to be in shape and staying sharp. Watching the NFL games with other WRs and seeing coverages or how it is being played.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I bring natural leadership, not the kind where it’s forced but when the time is needed to be a leader it’s there. I bring the ability to connect with both my teammates, coaches, and community through my personality and drive to make an impact.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
Take a chance on me. I’m not a physical specimen or a speed demon but when it comes time for a play to be made I make that play. I’m a consistent receiver with the ability to play slot and outside. I block better and tougher than anyone. I embrace adversity, I have always been the underdog and proven time after time, year after year that I’m that guy. Take a chance on a guy that didn’t turn and run when it became easy… You won’t regret it.
