What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

In the spring I sat down with my coach and talked about winning a conference championship. We were able to accomplish that for the second season in a row which was great. Personally I was able to make first team all conference and have my highest sack season.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

With this extra year I was able to train more than I ever have. My team opted out of our 2021 spring season so I had that whole year to focus solely on training and watching film. By the time fall camp came around this season I was in the best shape of my life. I got a lot stronger, faster and overall a lot more athletic.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

That I’m the type of player that leads by example. My teammates know that they can come to me with anything whether that’s questions on our scheme and technique or any other advice. I embrace hard work and want to make everyone around me better. When a big play is needed they know they can count on me to make it.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

First I’ll look at the tackles that I’m going up against. I check to see if their stance gives any indication of run or pass. Then I watch for how quick or slow they are off the ball. The next thing I look for is what kind of pass sets they do and where they set their hands. I’ll also watch the centers snaps to see if he gives any hints before snapping. After watching the O-line I go back through and watch for down and distance tendencies to give me a better idea of when to expect run or pass. When it comes to watching myself I focus on my get off and how well I use my hands.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My speed and versatility. I’m a fast player that can line up all over the front seven and find the football. I have the size to stop the run along with the speed and quickness to pass rush and play in space. Also my ball skills separate me from other prospects,I have an offensive background.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan on continuing to refine my pass rush techniques as well as train to get faster, quicker and stronger. I will be training for a pro day and workout opportunities.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I think me being a fast learner will allow me to learn the playbook and contribute quickly. I have the abilities to play the run, pass rush efficiently, and athleticism to play in space. And off the field I will be a great representation of an organization by working in the community.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

If you pick me up you are getting a high character guy that is a true competitor and will do his job with 100% effort. Everyday I strive to be better than I was the previous day. I’ve gotten better in each season of college and I still have room for improvement.
