Name: Andrew Schroeder

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goals were to be the starting tight end, become a leader that younger guys could look up to, and establish the tight end position at SV as a dual threat. I believe I accomplished these things.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I believe they would say I’m a hard worker, that I came to work every day with the determination to get better at my game in practice, film, the weight room and throughout the whole offseason.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on my steps and hand placement, coverages and fronts. The strength of my game is as a receiver so watching my steps/hand placement as a blocker has been a big focus of mine since I moved to tight end.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I believe my ability to create separation as well as my catching ability, combined with my ability to block is what separates me from the rest of my competition. My belief in myself that I’m the most well rounded tight end at the college level also separates me.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I plan on training my 40, 3-cone drill as well as my pro shuttle and bench press. I’m never satisfied with any outcome, even on my good days I’m always looking for ways to get better.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m very passionate about winning. I put the team above myself, and I’m willing to do whatever the team needs from me in order to win.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I learn quickly and I’m ready to take on any roll given to me. I can execute at a high level in the run game and can be a big playmaker in the passing game, all I need is an opportunity!
