What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My first goal was to get better everyday. Then I was able to finish my senior year as a SWAC champion. I just accomplished my most recent goal which was to get an invite to a bowl game (hbcu legacy bowl) and play a great game.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

Due to covid a lot of public places were closed but I was still able to work on my strength and conditioning. I dropped a few pounds and when football started back I was in great shape.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say I’m a hard worker, team player and a coachable player. They would also say I’m dedicated and disciplined on and off the field. It’s become a habit of mine to get extra work on the field and weight room and also making sure I eat right and hydrate.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I watch film I look at my technique such as hand placement, proper steps, and low pad level. I like to make notes on what I did wrong so I can improve on it the next time. I also study my opponent’s tendencies to see which technique works best.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My work ethic. I like to work hard and not cut corners. I’m always looking to get better. I stay behind and get extra work. It’s about what you do when nobody’s looking that will set you apart.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My offseason plan consists of weight lifting, conditioning, and working lineman drills. Pretty much working in all areas to be the best I can be.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My work ethic is my biggest strength because I just like to work hard. I’m always looking to improve my skills. My mindset is also a plus because I always feel like I’m the best no matter what or who is in front of me. I also like to compete and prove myself because I know what I can do when I have my mind set to it.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I’m looking for an opportunity to compete at the highest level and prove that I can dominate and be great. My work ethic is unmatched and I know I can get the job done.
