Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My goal my senior year was to set the standard for the younger guys. We had a team with low numbers and a lot of underclassmen. I wanted to show them what it meant to work hard and what our culture here is all about. My goals were obviously to win as many games as possible like anybody else’s would be, but to get there for many years to come I knew this year it would be vital to make this my biggest priority.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

Coaches and my teammates would say I’m a guy who enjoys the process. I love being in the film room, helping create the game plans and helping script practices. I love the preparation side of football and I feel as if my coaches and teammates have noticed that as well. I’m very even Kiel, I never get too high or too low. I do my best to lead by example and set the culture for our program.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I always look at how they play certain formations that are similar to ours and then I visualize our plays out of that same formation to try to envision how they could possibly play us and what would give us the best look possible. I also study the tilts and depths of the safeties to look for possible late rolls or where the blitz could come from.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My preparation and drive. I can’t control the things I can’t control, but I can control how prepared I can be and how hard I can work. I believe my mentality and passion for the all around game of football is something special and unlike many others.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I recently just played in the FCS Bowl down in Florida for the American Team (Red) where I won overall MVP and I will be training in New Jersey at Test Football Academy with QB coach Tony Raccioppi to fine tune my game and prepare for opportunities at the next level.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I’m someone that comes prepared and ready to compete. I feel as if I bring great energy and leadership to any team. I’m someone that can lead in a multitude of ways, both by example and verbally. I believe I’m a playmaker that can make the most even out of the toughest situations while still making intelligent decisions that won’t cost the team.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I’m as hard working of a guy you’ll ever meet. That’s in all aspects of the game, physically, mentally, preparation, etc. I am someone who believes strongly in myself and know that given the opportunity can bring a lot of energy and effort to any organization.
