Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
One of my goals going into my final season was to win a championship. Another goal was to be the best teammate I can be on and off the field. Finally, I wanted to be the best Quarterback in the country.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Three words to describe my style of play are poised, accurate, and decisive.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will continue to improve my Quarterback skills by throwing, working on drops, and pocket footwork. In addition, I will need to continue to lift weights while working on my speed and quickness.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I study film, I like to look at what kind of defenses the other team plays. I try to find their tendencies in different down and distance situations and against certain formations. After figuring out the opposing teams tendencies, I like to study individual players and see if they tip off certain actions and schemes. Finally, I like to visualize our team’s plays going against the opposing defense and thinking about the checks we have in that week.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me from other players at my position is my anticipation. Seeing things before they happen has helped me a lot throughout my career. I am also very accurate and can put the ball where I want it to go.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I am always pushing myself and others around me to get better. I am a good leader on and off the field while leading by example. I am able to deal with adversity well and stay even keeled in all situations.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
My final pitch is that you will get a very hard working, driven individual who will do anything to help his team succeed on and off the field.
