Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

My goals were to win the MAC and make all-conference.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Explosive, Physical, and Relentless.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’ve been training in the greater St. Louis area with Fitzmaurice Performance. I’ve done a lot of explosive resistance work. They’ve helped me change my body a lot and I’ve become a far better athlete. They’ve helped my legs feel fresh again as well.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

I look for the little things when I’m watching film that will give me an edge. For example, I look to see if offensive lineman shoot their hands wide or what their pass rush and run stance looks like. That way when I get into a game, I know what to expect. I also look into personnel to determine what I’m getting the majority of the time in different formations. Last thing I look for is what kind of blockers am I dealing with. If it’s a physical run team, I know I have to prepare a lot harder on my run fits or my pad level. If they are a passing team, I know I have to sharpen my moves more this week.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I believe what separates me is the way I prepare. I watch tons of film because I know that’s going to give me an advantage. It doesn’t guarantee success, but it can make me play a step quicker than my opponent and that’s all it takes to win a rep. I also believe my mentality separates me as well because I’m willing to suffer more than the next man to get what I want and I will not stop. I’ll do whatever it takes.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I believe my will to succeed no matter the circumstances will stand out. I’ve been persevering my whole life and people have noticed it on every level of football I’ve been in so far.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I want them to know they are getting a guy who will do whatever it takes to get to the next level. I bring a certain alpha swagger with me that is unmatched. I have that mentality because I have the biggest chip on my shoulder. I feel as if I’ve always been overlooked and I use that as motivation to outwork the next man.
