Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The summer before I my senior season I was asked to practice snapping the ball. So a goal I set for myself was to make the move from guard to center and start there and I accomplished that. As a program we set a goal to win the conference and we did that as well.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say I’m I’m a hard worker, grinder and I try to make sure I’m prepared for every situation.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
As an offensive lineman when I study film of myself I’m mainly looking at my footwork and my hands to see how I can make it better. We have different steps for every block and you want to make sure you have efficient steps to put you in the best position for that block. When I’m looking at opponent film I’m looking at the defensive scheme and how we would block our plays against it. I also look at the defensive line and study their tendencies.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I think the fact that I can play all interior lineman positions coming in is a good thing and it’s not something a team would have to wait for me to learn.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I’ve been training with my trainer at impact fitness here in my hometown. I started going to him when I started college and he has great experience training pro athletes.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Me being a team player I can be a positive voice in the locker room. Me being able to play multiple positions can help as well.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
Teams should take a chance on me because I’m a team player with a great work ethic and strong determination that’ll get the job done once the opportunity presents itself.
