Name: Tyler Davis

Position: TE
Height:  6’4″

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My main goal entering my final season was to be the best leader and example for my teammates that I could possibly be. And my teammates would say I did that by leading them from the first day I stepped on campus after transferring in. I gave 110% every single day and pushed my teammates to limits they didn’t think they could achieve on their own.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say I’m the hardest worker that they have been around. They would say how much love I have for the game of football and how I will go above and beyond to do anything for my teammates.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When watching film on myself, I focus on the details of the position. I pay attention to my footwork, hand placement and leverage in the run game as well as in the pass game. I especially focus on my footwork because you are going to either make your job a lot easier or harder so it’s really important to get your base and foundation right before anything else. If you can improve your base everything else will be easier to fix once your feet are in the correct spot.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

For a tight end, I’m very athletic for my size. I’m a big dude that can move really well and I can set up many mismatches across the field. Also, I play fast because of the way I prepare during the week. I’m in the facility the entire day watching hours of film to give myself the biggest edge I can possibly get on game day.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I was at EXOS in Los Angeles during the off-season. I was very fortunate to be able to get my pro day in before all the cancellations. So now I’m at home training making the most of the current circumstances.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Most importantly I will bring my discipline and my work ethic. I am extremely disciplined and focused on the daily process of being the best player I can possibly be. This is true for me both on and off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

My final pitch to teams would be that you will not find a harder worker than me. I am a versatile and adaptable player. I will prepare wherever the team needs me. I love the game of football so much and am willing to do anything possible to have an impact on a team.
