What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I set and accomplished my primary goal of First Team All-Conference along with my goal of leading my team and conference in sacks.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I used the extra time off to attack the weight room like I never have before. My teammates and I created a schedule to train with University in the mornings and train with a local sports performance gym in the afternoons six days a week as soon as COVID stay-at-home orders were lifted. Once it was announced our 2020 season was cancelled, we began a sort of training montage to fill the void of not playing. Due to COVID restrictions, we weren’t allowed to have little to any in person contact with our coaches for a few months. That time period didn’t slow our momentum as we continued to have player lead lifting and 7 on 7 sessions. For 18 months, I was dedicating incredible amounts of idle time to perfecting my craft.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

The coaches and teammates I played with would call me an extremely competitive game changer and an incredible leader. Teammates especially would talk about my unmatchable energy and excitement with every little aspect that goes into being great at this game.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on my intensity and my technique. My footwork, hand placement, my leverage, my pad level and my physically to disengage off blocks. I pay very close attention to well I drive my feet on contact and what improvements in my steps need to be made.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My attention to detail and how coachable I am is what separates me. Being coachable doesn’t just mean you’re respectful or get along. To be truly coachable means you chase the technique they are trying to teach. I take pride in this concept and take pride in not having to be told something twice.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan to train at the well renown Landow Performance in Centennial, Colorado.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field, I play with a passion and self confidence that most can’t mirror. I play as if every moment is the best moment of my life. I’m a very smart player who over communicates and can identify plays before the snap. Off the field I am a model citizen with a spotless record who has ambitions to better his hometown communities.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

You will have to search far and wide across this country to find another player who truly enjoys the process like I do. My entire football career has been maximized with minimum resources and just a pure love for the game. With the training and recovery resources the NFL provides, my potential to grow as a player is truly unlimited.
