Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The main goal for my final season was to really focus on being more violent and to lead by example since my offense this year was very young.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coach’s have always said how accountable and consistent I am. They also have always appreciated how hard I work and play. No matter what needs to be done, they know I can do it. For my teammates, they will probably say how I am just a regular guy. I’ve been told a lot that I am like a brother to a lot of them and that I am a leader by example, not the one that yells at everyone.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Depends on why I am watching the film. There is two ways I watch film, they are watching my opponents moves/play style and then watching myself. For my opponent, I will watch to see what his play styles is such as, does he fold when you beat him or does he have a motor ever play. Then I’ll go in down by down to see what are his favorite moves for 3rd and long then 3rd and medium etc. This goes for passing downs and run game. Now when I watch myself I’ll first watch my foot work then my hand placement then finally do I finish my block. I’ll write down notes every time I watch film!

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I am from the bottom of the bottom. I played class 1 Missouri football and everyone told me that I wouldn’t be able to play college ball. Now I am here at CMU in the NAIA level with people saying how I can’t play Pro. I got a chip on my shoulder and nothing is going to fill it any time soon.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

As of right now I am working out at my university with a program my weight coach and I figured out. I am trying to put on more muscle mass and power movements. In the spring I will be student teaching for my final semester here so he is allowing me to come in after I am down with that every day.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I have a great offensive line IQ. I have played every position on the line and sometimes I have even played three positions in one game. I know how to use my body to win my block and how to pull. I have a great skip pull to get around and up the hole. My communication skills are amazing. I come back after ever dive to draw up what we are getting I am also good at calling out blitzes and stunts.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My size and stature is a little less than the average size of a pro offensive lineman, but that doesn’t count for my work ethic. I have always been put in as an under dog. Coming from small schools and people not thinking that I can do it. Now since I have that chip on my shoulder I feel like nothing really can stop me.
