Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I received the 2nd number of total tackles on the team, with a total of 68. I brought in 2 interceptions, 2 sacks, & 3 pass break ups. I helped lead the team to the Conference Championship game and second round of playoffs. We beat two #6 teams in the country. Lastly, I achieved a degree in Supply Chain Management.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coach and teammates would say that I’m a selfless player who puts my heart into the game. They’d also say that I come to work everyday and would put my life on the line for my brothers.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

Film tells you everything about a team or player. It doesn’t lie. What you put on film is your identity. So when I watch film I watch for your identity. Do you play hard every play or only on pass plays? Do you like to block and be physical? Do you give hints on the way you run your routes? Film is just as important and practice. Film gets you ready mentally as practice does physically.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My knowledge for the game. I understand football. I’ve been blessed with talent and I thank the Lord for that everyday, but my knowledge of the game takes my level of play over the top. I can break down the defense and understand where every piece has to be and why. I know that as a safety I must work with other DBs and linebackers, and occasionally DEs so knowing the defense allows me to play fast!

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I’m working on becoming faster and quicker. Strength has never been an issue for me. As the game is evolving, it’s all about speed now. So, I just want to be able to transfer my speed and quickness with my physical game play. My game shows for itself. I just want scouts to see the speed comes along with it.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My leadership. I lead by example. I put my head down and work. I don’t accept defeat. I will always put my life on the line for family and I will not let them down.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

With me, you will be getting a young man who will give his life to the organization. I will come to make plays and do my job consistently everyday. I will work until my bones can’t work anymore. I could go on about this and that but I’d rather show you. I just need a crack in the door and i will knock it down.
