Tighe Beck: 2022 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Tighe Beck
School: Assumption University
Position: TE
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 240

What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My main goal was to be the best leader/teammate as I possibly could be. Being selected captain 2x was the greatest honor I have ever had as a player and I feel that I led with both my voice and my actions every step of the way. My only hope is that my teammates can say that I gave it everything I had when leading them both on and off the field.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

The extra year of eligibility allowed me to mature more both mentally and physically. I learned a lot more about the game and about life. I was able to focus on the smaller details of my game and my blocking improved immensely.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They will tell you that I prepare like no other, I love the game of football and that I am a great teammate.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Everything. I am always looking for ways to get better in every little part of my game. There is always room for improvement and there is always someone out there who is out working me, that is always in the back of my mind.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

No other player in the country can go 70 snaps on offense then turn around and dominate on special teams as well. I can do anything on the field, you name it. I’ve done it all throughout my career. Most importantly, I will compete with anyone put in front of me in any aspect of the game and of life.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My plan is to get 1% better everyday, in every way. When my opportunity comes, I will be ready for it.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My biggest strengths are my versatility, confidence and competitiveness. I will go toe-to-toe with anybody in the country at any time. Anything a coach asks me to do, I will embrace that role and commit to doing it to the best of my abilities, always.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

To anyone who is looking for a player that plays with their head and their heart, loves competition and hates to lose, I’m your guy. I will give everything I have for the team, no matter the role and I will put my work ethic up against anyone. To whoever gives me an opportunity, this will all be clear and evident from the start.
