What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I just wanted to come in and make an impact for my team. I focused on being a leader and trying to help my team win games.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

By coming in and being an immediate playmaker. As a defensive player, one of our objectives is to takeaway the ball, and I feel that is what my game is based around. I didn’t take any game for granted this year, aiming to capitalize on all my opportunities. Making big plays to set up the offense.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say that I come in everyday to get better and go to work, I am a leader as well as a motivator. I look at the game as my job, so I aim to conduct myself in a professional manner each and every day. At the same time, I am a team player, doing whatever it takes for my team to get the win.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I am focusing on the offensive tendencies, taking note of what they like to do, when they like to do it , as well as their best players. Knowing who an offense likes to get the ball to can indicate what they’re doing in certain situations. Knowing what the offense is doing helps me play faster and more confident.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

A lost art at the defensive back position is ball skills. I take pride in taking away the ball. I am also very versatile, I can cover any position on the field, while also being physical. I also play a number of positions in the defensive backfield including in the box.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My training plan is to attack my weaknesses and build upon my strengths. I am also using this time to learn how to be a professional, training in a professional atmosphere. Learning how my body works, along with learning how to properly recover my body can bring me longevity in this game.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field I will bring playmaking ability, high motor and extreme focus. Off the field I am a leader and I am always willing to learn, whether it is from a player, or coach, I aim to soak up all of the knowledge and apply it to my game.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I would like to let professional scouts know that they will be bringing in an individual who loves the game of football. I am a player who aims to get better each and every rep. No matter if it’s the film room, weight room or on the field, I am very passionate about the game of football, motivating me to go above and beyond to reach success.
