What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

All Conference, All Region, Conference Dpoy, All-American, Cliff Harris Award winner (Small college defensive player of the year). I set out to be the best version of me as a player and the best teammate. I knew if I took care of those two things great things would come.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

In the COVID year I got more serious about the recovery, nutrition and mental portion of the game. In that year I made the greatest leaps in terms preparing my body physically and mentally.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say I’m a natural leader who does not need the spotlight. I try to set a good example in terms of work ethic for the younger guys coming up behind me. They would also say I am a team first type of guy and will work hard for my brothers on the field.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When watching film I try to find small keys and tendencies from individual guys that can help me predict the play before it happens. This helps me play faster and be a step ahead so that I’m not just lining up and playing blind essentially.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I am never satisfied, I am always looking to tweak and improve in some way. I believe that you are always able to give more than you did the previous time or find a more efficient way to to do things. Along with that if I don’t know something I will communicate that and not just pretend I do and fall behind.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I training at phase 1 training facility to improve mobility, strength and quickness. Along with that working with a defensive line specialist to sharpen up on my skills.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

One strength that I have is my competitive nature.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Coming from a small school I have a chip on my shoulder and feel like I have something to prove. With the right opportunity I feel I will do just that!
