Quntion Garrett: 2022 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Quntion Garrett
School: Adams State University
Position: WR

Height: 6’0”
Weight: 177

What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I personally wanted 50 catches, 1100 yards and 12 TDs. I got 30 catches for about 300 yards and 3 TDs. Not what I wanted but I did what I could whenever I got the ball.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I believe I took advantage of my extra year of eligibility. After the 2019 season nobody knew my name or about me. But thanks to God, that has changed.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I am very competitive with myself and teammates, I am very passionate about the game and my abilities to make plays. Coachable. Playmaker.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on my stance and start. Getting off the line is the first step to winning the rep. I like to focus on my body control as well, if I notice I’m getting sloppy in my stance and start or route running then I will try to correct it.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I am a dog with no leash. I think that my mentality really sets me apart from other pro prospects. Everybody wants to tell the world why they should get an opportunity, I’m the type to show the world why I should get an opportunity. There’s a difference in those two animals.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan to focus on my speed and explosion, I want to run a 4.3-low 4.4 forty. I’m looking for an agency to sign to as well. I will be training in Phoenix at the start of pro training. Then I hope to get to the footwork king in Texas by Mid-Late Feb. We will see though.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I bring that energy to my position group and the team as a whole. I can give the starting Defense the best look as a scout team guy. I am a pillar in my community, I help daycares and provide free football workouts to kids in youth football as well as high school on the weekends. Which ever team drafts me or signs me will be better on and off the field. That’s a fact.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I may play the same position as these other guys in this draft class but we are not the same! I’m coming in and going to be a game changer/ playmaker! When I get that chance, whether it’s WR1, WR2, or ST my team won’t regret it.
