Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

First major goal was to be MEAC champions which unfortunately did not pan out, however I was proud of my guys fighting every game. Another goal of mine was to not allow any sacks and play every game during my senior year which I accomplished. My main goal was to just impact people with my play, I wanted to motivate my teammates every day to come ready to work. I wanted to gain the respect of players among the conference. I felt like if people can feel or feed off your energy then you must be doing something right.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Physical, Methodical, and Aggressive.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I have a daily training regimen which includes improving my overall strength, agility, speed, and flexibility. I want to put up impressive numbers for scouts and catch their eye with my position specific field work. Working on my foot quickness has been one of my main focuses.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

When I’m studying the opposing team, first thing I look for is tendencies, whether if it’s how they are positioned, their forward lean, situations they do certain blitzes or line games. Then I’ll focus on what moves a defensive lineman might work, if they are a bull rusher, speed rusher, or balanced. Also, I would focus on how defensive players may react to certain plays and/or formations. Focusing on these things may change my gameplay to have a better performance against the competitor.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

One thing that may set me apart would probably the amount of time I spend on technique. From the fundamentals to the advanced methods of playing offensive line. I try to be a sound technician when playing the game. I feel like this gives me advantage against any situation that may be thrown my way.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field, I will always bring my “A” game to work. Expect to compete every single play. I will never slow down and give 100% effort. I will bring a positive and aggressive energy to the field, I want my teammates to bring out the same thing. The field is not the time to make friends, but contend against your opponent. Off the field, I will be a well-mannered adult to all people. I’ll bring good character and charisma.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My entire life, I have always been the underdog and I always enjoyed the challenge. Choosing me to become of a part of your organization, you are choosing someone who is ready to compete and prosper.
