Name: Zach Smith

Position: Punter
Height: 6’0″
Weight: 215

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Zach: Consistent, Fast, Precise.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Zach: By lifting, running, and kicking everyday as well as try to attend as many camps as possible.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Zach: Sam Koch of the Ravens. I can pin teams deep inside the 10 and be at a consistent distance every punt whether that’s on the sideline or deep down the middle.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Zach: The main thing I focus on during film is my drop mechanics and my body angle when I punt each time.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Zach: What separates me is my consistency of my kicks. I can consistently be around 45+ yards per punt and as well continually pin teams deep in their own territory.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Zach: On the field I’m going to be a consistent threat to flip the field and set up defenses. Off the field I’m a teacher, I love giving back to a community and would focused on making sure the youth is getting as much publicity as possible.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Zach: What you see is what you get. I’m going to flip the field and pin teams deep in their own territory, when we need to flip the field I’m the guy who can do that time in and time out. There’s no grey area with me. I enjoy learning and adapting to the game. If you need a consistent punt game I’m the guy for the job. All I need is a chance to prove that.
