Name: William Lloyd
College: Troy
Position: Outside Linebacker / Strong Safety
Height: 6’0″
Weight: 220

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

William: Earn Your Respect. Football is a violent game. There are some players out there don’t respect their opponents. I’m am the type of player that when I play you, I want to take your confidence. I want to dominant you to the point where you feel useless. When you reach that state of mind, it only makes my job easier. After each game, I will get my respect.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

William: First thing that is important to training is diet. I need to eat healthy things so that my body can perform at its highest potential. I am familiar with the NFL projections for the positions I’m capable of playing. Emphasize each drill and attack them daily. I will also do field work for both linebacker and safety.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

William: I think I would compare myself to former Philadelphia Eagle, Brian Dawkins. He’s a very humble and God believing individual. He plays the game with passion and emotion, which are some of the key components in playing defense. He flies around with a chip on his shoulder striking his opponents. He has great leadership skills which affected everyone around him.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

William: By me playing in the box a lot, I look for small tendencies that would help me indicate run or pass. I look for weaknesses that they show, so that I can practice during game week to help me gain an edge. I also look for mistakes that I am making. I want to be an elite player. So, I have to take ownership in my mistakes to grow from them.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

William: I really can’t say what others are doing to gain an advantage or what separates us. I do know I refuse to get out worked. I really can care less who you are. You are going to get 110% from me.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

William: Besides being a huge contributor on special teams, I also have effective leadership skills that can bring positivity and integrity on and off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

William: All I need is an opportunity. You won’t regret it.
