Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Jamal: Versatile, Technician, Competitor.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Jamal: Not treating this offseason much different than any in the past. Obviously, I’m going to be focusing on combine/pro day specific movements more, but I always take training in the offseason real serious.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Jamal: Malcolm Butler, because I come from a small school a lot like him, and I see a lot of myself in him. He’s versatile and can play on the outside or in the slot. An ultimate competitor, he’ll line up on whoever, whenever. He is extremely disciplined and it is clear he takes pride in mastering his craft.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Jamal: I look for tendencies on down and distances and ways to attack different receivers. For example, how a receiver plays against press coverage.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Jamal: My versatility and willingness to come up in run support which is not common at my position.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Jamal: My versatility allows me to be able to line up anywhere on the field and make plays. I could fit in any locker room environment and I am a player that is disciplined on and off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Jamal: Any team that I get the opportunity to play for will be getting player who can play multiple positions and be effective. A player that is coachable, dedicated, and competes.
