Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Jac’que: If I could describe my style of play in 3 words, I would say that I am athletic, hungry, and physical.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Jac’que: During training this offseason my main focus was on flexibility. Flexibility is the key to success. I plan on playing football professionally for a while. The way to secure my success by doing so, I have to be flexible. I’ve also focused a lot on my footwork. As an offensive lineman you have to be as athletic and fast as possible by blocking elite defensive lineman at the next level.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Jac’que: If I could compare myself to a current NFL player I would say, Tyron Smith from the Cowboys. I say this because we have the same body type and size. Our athleticism and physicality is similar. His style of play is amazing. I know I am not fully on his level, but I am working and willing to be just as good as he is.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Jac’que: When I study film, I look for all of the mistakes/missed assignments that both my unit and I have made. That way we could correct them and become as solid as possible. Secondly, I look at the defense to study the different types of defense and the type of players that they have. I look for body language, different types of feet positions, defensive moves, and jersey numbers. Therefore, once we line up I will already have a feel for the type of player I’m going against.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Jac’que: What separates me and other players at my position is my athleticism, strength, speed, and most of all, my footwork.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Jac’que: The kind of abilities that I will bring to a team both on an off the field is hunger, discipline, the willingness to learn, and will give a team my all. Coming from a Division 2 college, I feel as is I would have to work even harder just to prove myself to my coaches and teammates. I am willing to make sacrifices to help my team win a championship. I am hungry for both an opportunity and success.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Jac’que: To me it isn’t about the money or the fame. This is a dream that I have always encountered ever since I was a little boy. I could care less about the pay because even without pay, I would still work extremely hard and give a team my all. Football is my life. It has saved my life in so many different ways. It has helped me to see places that only a small town country boy like myself can only dream of. Playing this game has allowed me to network with different jobs/agencies and to meet lifetime friends. I’ve worked extremely hard my entire life to even be in this position just to do interviews. This really motivates me. If you pick me, I can guarantee I will work on your team to the best of my ability, filling in which ever spot you need me at, and give my all.
