Name: Andy Kwon
College: Georgia Southern
Position: Center
Height: 6’2″
Weight: 300

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Andy: Smart, Technician, and Quick.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Andy: I am working out under Mr. Rob Mangino’s workout plan. He’s been so helpful communicating with me about my workouts. His workouts are about explosion and strength, so I’m excited to see how Pro Day is going to turn out.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Andy: AQ Shipley/Kyle Friend (Both of those players are undersized Centers in the league). I compare myself to them because they get their job done through technique and being smart on the field. Although we are not biggest and the longest centers in our own league, being strong and tough helps us win our match ups.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Andy: I like to look at the defense structure. I like to look for the defense alignment based on the formations we have. The Linebackers and the Safeties usually give away what the defense is trying to do against us, which helps me determine what the DL is going to do.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Andy: My knowledge of the game. I have put in so much time trying to understand the game of football by learning how offenses/defenses work. I always believed that if I knew what my opponent was going to do each play, then I would have a 90% chance of being successful in that play against my opponent.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Andy: A guy that cares about every little thing he does. Someone who is ready to grind through the good/bad and is never satisfied with the result.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Andy: I am an undersized OL (perfect size for Center) that is very smart with the knowledge of football and a technician at my position. All I am looking for is an opportunity to showcase my talent. I can also become one of the few Asian NFL Football players in league history which can help spread the game of football into many Asian countries.
