Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

I became a team Captain, leading us toward a winning season for the first time in years. I also led the team in tackles at safety. With my versatility and ability to understand schemes I was able to come down and play in the box when my team needed me.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am a coachable, respectful player. I am very competitive, hard-working and athletic. I am a player that understands the game, with the range to play in the box or as a defensive back.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

During film study I focus on the defensive call and watch my movements. I take notes and think about what I did well or could have done better. I take notes on my footwork how I break on the ball, physicality and technique. As for film study throughout the week for games I focus on my opponent movements, while thinking of down and distance play calls, to notice tendencies. I pay attention to things like WR releases or route running. I also focus on the linemen movements whether it’s run on pass whether I’m in the run support. I like to focus on things that can make myself a better player as well as my teammates.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I am very versatile. At the University of Rhode Island I played Safety, nickel and outside linebacker. I can be moved around in space as well as being comfortable during run fits.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I will train on my physical movements and explosion to help me be the best I can be for my pro day testing and other profession opportunities.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I’m an athlete that can play close to the ball, with the ability to cover around the field comfortably. I set high standards not only for myself, but the people around me. I’m for the team and I will compete from the practice field to game day. I like to learn and to be coached in order to execute whatever the task is at hand. I am also a high character guy that can add value on and off the field.
