Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The goal I set for my final season was to help the program (UW-Oshkosh) get back in the right direction after we had a down year the previous season missing the playoffs. I would say I accomplished that by getting a young team back to the postseason. I accomplished an individual feat by earning 1st Team All-Conference, which is a huge accomplishment with the WIAC being the top ranked conference in Division III.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say I’m a player that never makes it about myself, rather always doing what’s best for the team. They would also say I’m a player that’s never satisfied. Always striving to be better everyday.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I start with watching my mechanics of my snaps to make sure I’m doing all aspects of my technique correctly. I then transition to evaluating my blocking footwork and technique. After that I evaluate my coverage down the field on my punt snaps, making sure I’m following my coverage responsibilities. I end with looking at my short snaps to see how consistent I am with the laces.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates myself from other long snappers coming out of college is I had pro punt responsibilities. This means I had blocking responsibilities, which is required at the pro level, and isn’t necessarily as common at a lot of other schools. What also separates myself is I started all 49 career games producing 496 snaps, so I have a large sample size of experience.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I am training at a top end facility called NX Level and working with a top end trainer Brad Arnett. Numerous professional athletes and top notch college athletes from Wisconsin and sometimes the Midwest train at this facility and with Coach Arnett in their respective offseason. I am also planning on working with and attending camps of Kyle Stelter and Gary Zauner, who have respectable lists of long snappers they have worked with that have received opportunities at the professional level.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring to a team a guy on the field that’s as mentally tough as anybody. I don’t mentally fold under pressure or different circumstances such as weather. It’s just another snap. Off the field what I will bring is a teammate that does the right thing. Someone that doesn’t put the team in jeopardy and helps others in need.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I played in the top ranked conference in Division III. I also faced the best competition in the country outside of conference play, whether it was tough-scheduled non-conference games or deep postseason runs. I went up against professional talent on a weekly basis. I realize I am coming out of Division III, but I am as battle tested as I can be coming out of this Division.
