Name: Michael Shaw
School: Georgia State
Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
Finishing my career strong, being able to reach out to the younger players and be a leader to the defense
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
That I’m positive no matter what. Im positive in any situation and in everything I do. No matter what I’m going to show up to work and give it everything I have no matter what I’m going through off the field. When I step on the field it’s go time.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film I first watch all my different techniques and effort and try to correct/improve them, but also study my opponents so I know them like the back of my hand. I’m huge on studying film.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
My effort and dog mentality! I’m not afraid to go a hundred miles per hour on every play and I don’t hold back anything.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I am currently training at Ultimate 48 fitness and with my uncle. I will be preparing by making sure I’m in great condition/shape, make sure I’m stronger and I do plenty of linebacker drills.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field I think my effort and toughness will separate me from the rest and off the field I’m obsessed with football it’s always on my mind and I’m doing everything off to field to make me better on the field.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
To all the NFL teams I just want to say that if you give me the opportunity you won’t find anyone who loves football more than me. I will show up to work ready to go and leave it all out there on the field from practice to games.
