Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

A goal that I set for myself when I started playing running back was to have a 1000 yard season and to earn 1st team all conference. My junior year I only received honorable mention as a fullback but after being named the starting tailback for game 5 I rushed for 918 yards and had 225 reception yards with gave me 1,143 all purpose yards and 8 total touchdowns. Those efforts allowed me to be rewarded with 1st team all sooner athletic honors.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would describe me as a hard working leader that always puts the team and his teammates before himself. They would also say that I make others around me better, and that I get players to buy in to the culture of our team.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I am watching film I really like to pay attention to three major details. The first detail is what type of defensive front the defense is in, this allows me to make my pre snap read on what path I may want to take on my run, as well as it allows me to identify which linebacker or drop safety I might have in pass protection. The second thing I like to focus on is what type of shade the interior and edge defensive lineman are in, this tells me whether or not I should look to cut my run back or to press it play side. Lastly I like to pay attention to the play style and flow of the linebackers, this gives me an insight on there style of play, whether or not they fast flow to the play side, if they pop their feet and stay stationary when the ball is snapped, or if they play down hill. Knowing all that information allows me to better understand how I need to approach the game plan and how to run the ball on that certain defense.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from the others is that at the start of the season I was only the starting fullback, I mostly blocked and caught a few passes here and there. But due to some injuries in the backfield week 5 approached and I was named the starter from that point on I did not look back in just 6 games I rushed for 851 yards and 6 touchdowns. Although my peers in the conference had a 4 game head start on me I finished 2nd in the conference in rushing yards and third in the conference in total yards, and I strongly believe my production over that 6 game span is what separates me from other prospects at my position.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My plan is to finish my final semester of school and graduate in may. As I continue my education I have coordinated with my strength and conditioning coach who has agreed to train me for my pro day work out using the schools brand new weight room and facilities.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

The strengths and abilities that I bring to a team both on and off the field are that I am a hard working young man who is coachable and knows how to be held accountable. I am diligent and always eager to learn new ways to improve myself both physically and mentally. At the end of the day ant team and any coaching staff can depend on me to just do my job and take their coaching in not only football but in life as well.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

Every team I have ever played for you can go back and ask all my coaches and they will all say the same thing, my love the game of football is unmatched. My passion for the game is what drives me, at a very young age I was bullied and told I would never be good at football my teammates used to refer to me as the “tackling dummy”, and ever since that time I have always played with a chip on my shoulder, that chip just to prove everyone that I belong in this game. If any team decides to take a chance on my you will get every ounce of blood sweat and tears that I am capable of giving.
