Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
A goal that I set for myself and accomplished going into my final season was to be a starting tight end in the SEC and to play an important role on my team.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say that I am a smart and reliable player who focuses on executing my assignment and can also make things happen with my play making ability. Because of this, I am able to adapt and make adjustments on the fly.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film, I like to focus on watching my techniques, landmarks, and angles to improve my game. I also like to see how opponents or teammates react to plays to see how I can execute my job more efficiently.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I believe that some of the things that separate me from other prospects are my combination of size and athleticism, preparation, and work ethic.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
During the off-season I have been training and prepared for my pro day with Kerry Neal of Win Performance. I have been able to gain 20lbs and improve my speed and strength.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Some things on the field that will stand out to teams is my ability to block, run routes and catch passes at a high level. In addition to these abilities, I also believe that my competitive nature and character will be shown on and off the field. I have demonstrated the ability to learn and grow within the game and have also made significant progress within a short period of time.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I have a unique combination of size and athleticism that can allow me to add value and have an immediate impact on any team. I am a quick learner and am eager to improve my game to the next level.
