Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My goals were to fully recover from my injury the previous season and earn All-Conference and All-American this year. I fell short of the All-American goal, but I was blessed to be able to earn 1st team All Big-South!
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
In three words, I would describe my playing style as physical, fast, and quick with my instincts of diagnosing plays.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
To prepare myself for a pro opportunity, I’m going to constantly work on getting stronger and faster. I’m also going to work on mastering my techniques and getting more agile, so I am able to play more than one position moving forward.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I’m studying film, I’m always studying player’s demeanors on the field and looking at how they’re positioned, because someone’s positioning on the field and how they’re lined up can tell you what the play is before the ball is even snapped.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
My abilities to react to the ball without having to think about it stands out more than other players at my position. I feel as if I’m also faster than a lot of players at my position and I use my speed as an advantage to get to the ball and I bring the physicality along with it.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I believe that I will bring a tough and physical attitude to any team that decides to pick me up. I will bring passion for the game and a high energy level that will spread throughout the locker room on and off of the football field.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
My final pitch to any pro team that takes a chance on me is that I have dreamed about playing on the pro level all of my life. Now that I may have an opportunity to make that dream come true, I am determined to put in all the work necessary to show that I belong on the next level. Also, I believe that if you take a chance on me, that you won’t regret it because I will show up to work every day and you will see that intensity and passion for the game out of me. You will never see my energy drop because all I want to do is ball out every chance I get!
