My only goal which was accomplished for my final collegiate season was to to stay healthy, control the controllable and continue to learn the game.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I think I took advantage of the extra year of eligibility by focusing on the little things. I knew I was really good in man to no man coverage , so I focused not just on the zone techniques but understanding the concepts that could hurt me or be to my advantage while playing zone.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My teammates and coaches would say I’m a hard worker and that there is nothing I like more than winning.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
While watching film to improve my game I like to focus on formation recognization , technique and pad level. The reason I like to focus on these 3 specifically is because when your tired your not at your all time best so you need to go off of what you know. By recognizing the formation it allows me to distinguish run or pass & possible routes I may get. Technique is big because like I said before when your tired your not at you all time best. If I assure my technique is good I can play efficiently when tired and being efficient beats speed any day. Lastly Pad level because having the proper pad level will allow me to play as fast and strong as possible.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects at my position is the fact that I’ve played in multiple systems & I’m not just a big defensive back I have good feet I’m fast and physical.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
This offseason I’m training at Elite Performance Training Systems in New Jersey. EPTS is one of the best performance trainers in NJ if not the best.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
What will stand out on and off the field is My dedication, hard work and effort. I’m dedicated to being a great football player and an even better person off the field. I’ll work as hard as I can and alway provide max effort.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch would be to stay tuned, I’m very confident in my training that I will have a phenomenal pro day. By giving me an opportunity your bringing in someone who wants to learn and is passionate about the game.
