Name: Kareem Coles Jr
Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Some goals I set for myself was to be overall better receiver, just being cleaner and in out of my breaks and having more consistent hands. I feel like I accomplished that. As a team we wanted to repeat and as conference champs and go back to the playoffs, we came up short with that one.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say that I’m pretty quiet but I work real hard and I’m a real smart player as well.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
I try focus on trying to break certain tendencies I may have so that other teams can’t catch on to certain things I do or am trying to do. I also try to focus on seeing what other players do and see if they have tendencies and things like that.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My football I.Q., I used to play Quarterback so I know what defenses are trying to do and stop so I use that when running routes. Also I’m a real quick learner as well.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I stayed local in Pittsburgh to train , I also worked with a track coach and a receiver coach which helped out a lot.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field Im not afraid to go over the middle and make contested catches and I know I can play both in the slot and out wide as well, I also can play specials teams too, I’m like another coach the field as well. Off the field I pay attention in meetings/film and I’m very open to coaching.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL/CFL or any other pro leagues?
I’m a real hardworking guy that comes in everyday trying to be better than the day before.
