Justin Jordan: 2022 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Justin Jordan
School: Gardner-Webb/Stetson University
Position: WR
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 185
What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I did not accomplish my goal of being an all-american this season, but I am happy I was in a position to be a leader for my position group and help develop those younger players who just needed to see someone do things the right way and 100% every time.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I am thankful that I took this extra year because it proved that I can be a playmaker no matter what team I play for.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Everyone who has ever played with me knows that I am going to be the hardest worker on the field. I lead by doing the right thing all of the time even when nobody’s watching.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film I like to look at my personal tendencies, so I can work on making everything look the same. I also like to study the tendencies of my opponents, for example what coverages they like to run on certain downs. This helps me slow the game down when I am on the field because I already know what they’re about to do.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other receivers is my footwork, attention to detail and my knowledge of the game. I consider myself a student of the game because of the countless hours I have spent studying and learning about the game.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I am doing my on the field training with TopShelf Performance and weights with ADAPT Physical Therapy in Atlanta, Georgia to prepare me for this process.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The strengths I bring to a team is my work ethic, leadership ability, and my ability to adjust on the fly. My work ethic is what stands out about me the most because I have always been the underdog, so I have to work harder than the next person to reach my dreams.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
If you want a guy who can come in and adapt to a new system quickly and who can straight up make plays I’m your guy!
