Name: Joshua “JC” Carter
School: Samford University
Position: CB

Height: 6’1”
Weight: 205

What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I set a few goals such as getting a certain number of interceptions, tackles, making all conference or all American, and receiving an invitation to a senior bowl game. Due to injuries and in house issues the only one of those goals were accomplished and that was being invited to a senior bowl game.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I spent more time on the mental aspect of the game improving film study, studying others, and training with a few pros to get knowledge and worked on increasing my speed and vertical.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say that JC is a hard worker that really cares for the game. Very resilient and relentless with great character on and off the field. Also very coachable and do it by example type of guy. Very aggressive player and plays strong.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I mainly focus on my steps and movements to increase the efficiency in my steps. I also study other people I play with and against to gain concepts of habits in which different receivers have.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other prospects is the mindset of being relentless, doing the little things consistently, and my size, length, and speed. My aggressiveness to come down and make a tackle, but also being able to play the slot, field, boundary or even safety.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I am currently training with my uncle at the moment. Currently I am meeting with a few programs to join their training program.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Character, style, and passion. Teams will be bringing a diamond in the rough. Bringing a positive attitude and leader on and off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Whoever picks me up I promise there will be no regret. I am a winner and love to win. I been through so much throughout my life and have the mental strength to make it through it all. I am one of the biggest sleepers in the draft. All I need is an opportunity.
