Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Going into my senior campaign, I set and accomplished the goal of becoming a leader on and off the field for the younger guys on the team (we had 12 total seniors, 4 of which (including myself) managed to stay healthy and active throughout the entire season.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I am fearless, passionate, coachable, and driven type of player.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I watch film, there are three different perspectives I focus on. Defensively, I look for the quarterback’s pre snap tendencies, receiver get offs/first steps including route running ability, along with how quickly the end man on los makes his blocking/pass movement post snap. Offensively, I try to pick up on how aggressive linebackers and secondary players are flowing on pursuit to gauge a blocking path. I also watch special teams film to pick up on whether or not the opposing team is staying in lanes or if the contain man is getting sucked into the mix too soon. I take tons of notes during film because I view it as another opportunity to get better, alongside lifting and practice.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I don’t back away from adversity, I have been “undersized” my whole life and I use that as a chip on my shoulder to make my presence on the field understood. I not only play fast, but my football IQ and situational football understanding is what I believe separates me from other prospects.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I will continue working with my strength and conditioning coach, coach Clifton, to further develop my explosiveness along with daily footwork drills (in the sand or turf)

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring a high character low ego attitude into whatever the situation may be. I do what is best for the team and work to the best of my ability to become a playmaker in a given role.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

Versatility and consistency are a dangerous combo to have in one’s arsenal and to top it off an extreme passion for the game. These are traits I have worked to obtain over my 15 years of experience on and off the playing field.
