Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

In my final collegiate season, I had one goal in mind; to make a bowl game and win with my new team. I wanted to come in and help contribute to the team’s success in any way I could. Everything else after that was icing on the cake.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say I’m an athletic and versatile competitor, who plays with a high motor. I finish through the whistle, I’m scrappy, and will give everything I have for the team’s success.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When watching film I always have three things I’m correcting: alignment, assignment, and technique. The first two must be engrained in my head before focusing on technique. In the run game, I focus on technique through my hand, hip, and feet leverage/placement. I’ve always prided myself on effort, leverage, and technique. The same applies in the passing game and I always look to minimize route indicators on my end.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other pro prospects is my versatility and athleticism while being a swiss army knife at TE. I can split out wide, run routes, perimeter block, put my hand in the dirt, line up in the H back position, the back field, and many other spots. I earned experience at the different TE roles while on a 2x Ivy League Championship team and Bowl Game winning team.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I will be preparing at two training locations back home in the valley of Northern California. One location will help improve my speed, strength, and acceleration, while the other will be for positional and combine specific training.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am a competitor and like to win in all areas of my life. I like being around winners because I feed off the group energy and enjoy pushing others around me, while being challenged in uncomfortable situations. Off the field, I push myself just as much as on the field to get 1% better at something every day.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I just need an opportunity. I don’t care who you are, how much weight you can lift, how big you are. Until we go head to head, I’m going in hungry and willing to do whatever it takes to win. My film and play style show that.
