Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Some goals I set to accomplish in my final collegiate season were 10 force fumbles and 100 tackles. I ended the season with 68 tackles 6 force fumbles and 5 Fumble recoveries so I think even though I didn’t hit what I wanted I still reached a high point to end a collegiate season.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I think they would say that I’m intelligent, physical, vocal, a ball hawk. That I lead by example and never let a teammate fall behind.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film there are multiple things I look for to improve my game. When I study film on opponents I look for weaknesses and tendencies. So I look to see how the offensive line get down when it’s run which one doesn’t have his hand in the dirt all the way to help him pull faster or how much he leans. Also look at how they set up for pass if the down button kinda leaning back so they can pass set. For running backs I look at where and how he lines up for certain run plays or him going out for a pass. For WR I look at they releases and route running. I see how they like to break on certain routes and what set up moves they use to get open. When it comes to watching film on myself I look at if I’m false stepping, if I’m getting good depth in my drops and getting to the right location. I also look at my alignment on the field.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My knowledge of the game through film study and during the flow of a game. My versatility on defense being able to play Nickel, Safety, and LB. Also being able to play offense in certain situations. I pick up schemes easily which gave me the ability to play those multiple positions on both sides of the ball.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I’m actually training right now with Innovation Sports Performance located in Grand Prairie, TX. I’m working on my speed, agility, awareness, body recovery, and knowledge of the game. Also getting extra preparation for bowl games I have coming up.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My leadership that I bring both on and off the field. I’ve shown my leadership on the field from being vocal and from my play. Off the field I have shown leadership from organizing film sessions, meetings to go over the playbooks with teammates who had trouble, getting guys together for extra work whether in the weight room or on the field.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I am intelligent, versatile, a leader, and responsible. Every opportunity presented or given to me I take full advantage of it. The time, energy, love, passion,& commitment that it takes coming from a new program that didn’t have everything. I had to do extra to make sure my body was right each week from rehab to weight training and then traveling every week for games losing at least a day of practice a week for travel. I had to mentally practice on planes and hotels to make sure I was ready for each opponent. I know I have the drive and grit to be apart and do what it takes to play on a NFL team and help win a Super Bowl. With how versatile I am I’m ready to do whatever I can to help any organization bring in a Super Bowl. By joining one of those great organizations I want to continue the excellence in entertainment they provide.
