Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Some goals that I had entering my final season were winning my fourth conference championship, making the playoffs, and having the chance at a national championship. Although I didn’t reach those goals, I still accomplished some personal goals of finding ways to become a better teammate, earn all-conference for the third time, and the opportunity to learn more about the game of football from different perspectives.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I’m a passionate player who has a great knowledge of the sport and a someone that understands the little things that it takes to win championships.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

The things that I focus on to improve my game are the tendencies of who I’m going up against. I would view the defensive lineman’s get off, hand movements of how he performs specific pass moves, and their tendencies on 1st downs, 2nd, etc. I would also focus on linebacker tendencies as well. How does he react to counter and other gap runs, where his position will be at within a certain play, etc.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

The thing that separates me from the other prospects is that I’m willing to do whatever it takes to win the game. This may sound cliche, but I’ve been apart of all types of teams, from 4 win seasons to 13 win seasons and each team that I’ve been apart of have never questioned my dedication and effort. I’ve finished multiple games on injuries whether that was an ankle, neck, or back pain and I’ve never complained about it once. Winning is all I care about and there’s not a whole lot that is going to change that mindset for me.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Just to continue working out and staying in shape, as well as finding ways to earn opportunities in coaching to improve my knowledge of football.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

A championship mindset and a mentality of always being ready to pull and open up a hole for the running back or quarterback. A championship mindset and an always ready to go mentality stands out off the field because it shows your loyalty towards anything that your passionate about. Whether it’s going to work or preparing for a football game.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Whoever puts their faith in me will get a player who is hungry to be coached as well as eager to learn more about football, and someone that is loyal to what we are trying to build as an organization.
