Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

My main goal I accomplished was competing at a high level while playing a new position in my senior year.  I understood the transition wasn’t going to be easy, but playing the safety position in High School I knew I was prepared for the challenge.  Being able to show my team that I could contribute to the team on defense.  I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree and I am currently continuing my education with pursing my Master’s Degree right now.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

Aggressive. Team player. Natural ability to read the plays on the field. Versatile, played several positions on the field. Student of the game, consistently trying to improve my football IQ. Always on time for practice, stayed late to watch film. Showed sportsmanship. Great work ethic. Was a Leader on and off the field.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

Always asking the position coach about the opponent for the upcoming week.  Making sure I disguise my alignment on certain coverages so that the offense will not see me coming.  Consistently trying to vision the offense, watch their different formation on downs.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I played offense for four years so I am able to anticipate when the linemen pulls on a run play and recognizing the wideouts body language when it is a run play. When the wideout is in an intense stance majority of the time it is a pass play and when they’re in a lazy stance it’s usually a run play.  Play recognition and taking educated chances from watching film with my coach.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I am currently training away from Arizona, in another State.  I decided to get away from the area I was in for the last five years to humble myself and train with no distractions.  I am currently eating healthier, focusing on improving my  body mass, speed, allowing my body enough rest to heal.  Working on improving my interview skills. I am lifting weights and just preparing myself for the next level of football and perfecting my craft.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Being an all-around player, continuing to improve in every aspect as a man and football player.  I will bring strong leadership skills.  I am a self-motivator and motivate my teammates.  I am very disciplined on and off the field.  I will be a mentor and support the community of the team I will play for.  To be a model athlete and consistently work hard to sustain my position with the team.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I am student of the game, since I was little I watched old football games and studied some the greatest football players to play the game.  I am a disciplined player, never late for practice.  I am a team leader, a versatile player with a great football IQ.  I work hard and dedicate myself to everything I put my mind to.  My sportsmanship shows on and off the field.  I am aggressive on the field always trying to improve my game.  I have played both sides of the field for my team where I made tremendous impact.  My athleticism shows in my play.
