Austin, Texas – The Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL) is pleased to announce it has partnered with the Carolina Queens women’s football team to host the 2016 Championship Events as part of a renewed initiative to offer IWFL member teams an opportunity to become involved with the longest running womens tackle football event in North America.
€œThe IWFL has always worked to provide opportunities for growth at the team level. Past host site teams have benefited from the operational experience gained and have gone on to become some of the strongest teams in the sport. This year we are bringing this business development opportunity back and hope to expand it in future seasons.€ said Laurie Frederick, IWFL President/CEO.
This year Championship Weekend will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina. All games and ancillary events will take place over three days, July 21 – 23, 2016 at the newly remodeled West Mecklenburg High School Stadium.
Championship Weekend events will feature two Bowl Games, All-Star Game and culminate with the IWFL World Championship game.
