Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My primary goal for this season was to help our football team win a championship by playing any position required of me. Showing versatility by being able to be a 4-phase special teams player helped me improve as a ball player. Moreover, to be a servant leader for my teammates on and off the field.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

Respect is earned daily, by continuing to work hard and trust in the process you put yourself in a position to be successful. I believe that I’ve earned that respect from my coaches and teammates.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Identifying the tendencies of the opposing team is vital to putting yourself in the right spot on the field. By knowing personnel, backfield, and formations it allows you to be one step ahead pre-snap. As a DB it is important to not have false-steps out of breaks and to play with a low base. Studying myself on film in a practice or game setting, I am primarily focusing on the little things since that is usually what ends up mattering most.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

Special Teams is a very important aspect of the game and I treat preparation for that unit the same way I would for playing defense. The way I approach the game is different than most, since I do my best to perfect my craft and get better everyday. My attention to detail, fundamentals, and IQ for the game would be a huge addition to any team or organization.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I just recently played in the Podyum Bowl in Miami Beach which was a great event to showcase my talent to pro scouts. I will be training back home in San Diego with D.C. Athletics, focusing on all variables I need to improve in to prepare me for the next level.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Being a servant leader on and off the field has shaped me into the man I am today. Having a purpose that’s bigger than myself has continued to make me want to be an inspiration to others through good works. I play fast, physical, and violent while playing with discipline at the same time. My style of play usually sets the tone.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Not only will you get a ball player with skills and knowledge to help your team win a championship, but you’re getting a person who loves every ounce of the game. I have been playing football since I was 5 years old and through all the commitment, dedication, and sacrifice you’re going to have a ball player that is all in for a championship culture and will put the team first in all areas of his life.
