Name: Greg Bernal
Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
One of my goals in my final season was to stay healthy and be the best center I can be and to start the season strong and to play in a bowl game. I absolutely believe I accomplished everything I wanted to.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I believe they would say I’m a smart player and knows what he’s doing on and off the field. I’m a committed player and won’t stop until the whistle is blown. Very patient and strong blocker.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film I first look at my last game to look at what I did wrong, weather if I took the wrong step, or if I had any hand misplacement. Then I focus on my opponent and then study who is in front of me and what are his weaknesses. I also see who his backups are and if he gets subbed out a lot.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My hard work ethic and never giving up even when everything is not going my way I still work through it until I’m successful. Weather that’s on it off the field.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My offseason plan is to work on my speed, footwork, and core. I also plan to reach out to agents to see if they can represent me and to keep working hard and keep praying to god until it pays off.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field I bring a great attitude, focused, and also a hard worker on and off the field. I will always look for ways to get better even if it’s one of my rest days and I make sure I have one vision only and that’s to be as great as I can at what I do.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
You won’t be disappointed if you chose me to be on your team. I’m focused, motivated and ready to go.
