Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

If I could describe my style of play in three words, I would say, powerful, skilled, and smart Tight End.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I have and will continue to train everyday like I have a chip on my shoulder. I’ve been overlooked almost my entire life and I’m okay with that because at the end of the day, you can only control what you can control. I can control my work ethic and how I handle myself when I am in fact overlooked and I’ll continue to do those things.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

When I am looking at film, I tend to look at the entire defense because I play a position that often requires me to see different matchups. I look at first steps by a defender and their hips. Eyes will lie in football however, hips will never lie. Seeing how defenders open their hips, helps me learn how to beat certain defenders.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates me from other players is my high IQ. I tend to see things a lot faster because I see things for what they are. I don’t overthink when I am on the football field. Football requires fast thinking on every play, he who hesitates in lost and losing just isn’t an option.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I would bring several attributes to a team. There aren’t any caveats to who I am as a person. What you see is what you get and I am not a person who gets jaded on the football field. There will never be an off the field issue with me. When I am on the field, I am giving it all I have on every single play while encouraging my teammates to do the same.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My final pitch to pro scouts is that I am a person who leads by example. Our actions prove who we are while our words prove who we want to be. Every day that I “clock in” on the football field, everything else is forgotten. Requiring everyone’s absolute best is the standard. That’s exactly what you’ll get from me.
