Easton Melancon, a 4 year starter and All-Conference Quarterback at Louisiana College had a stellar career. He is only the 2nd quarterback to throw for 10,000 yards in a career and the 4th quarterback to throw for over 3,000 yards in a single season. His best season came this year when he threw for 3,116 yards and 30 passing touchdowns. Some remember Melanin as the U-19 Quarterback who helped lead Team USA to a gold medal back in the 2014 International Federation of American Football World Championship.

Q: How have you been preparing for the game on Monday?

Easton: I have been preparing for the game by studying the playbook and making sure I have great timing with my receivers

Q: If you were talking with a scout, how would you pitch yourself?

Easton: If I were talking with a scout, I would pitch myself as a dedicated player who only has one goal and that is to win football games; do whatever it takes to win

Q: Why did you decide to play in the Dream Bowl and what do you expect to get out of it?

Easton: I decided to play in the Dream Bowl because I knew I would have the opportunity to show my skills in front of scouts and I expect to get more relationships with great players from around the country who have the same goals that I do. Also, I am able to get the chance to perform in front of scouts from the NFL and CFL.

Q: What is your best memory playing football?

Easton: My best memory from playing football would probably be my freshman year of College at Louisiana College. We were playing Weber University from Florida and I was the back up QB then and I got my opportunity to get in and lead our team to a 2nd half comeback to win the game and earn my spot as the starter and was the starter for every game of my career after that game

Look for Easton Melancon on January 16th in the Dream Bowl. He will be wearing #4 on the Patriots team. Melancon will be sure to show off his arm during the game and at the next level.
